Computer Music Journal Seeks Reviews

Computer Music Journal is seeking written reviews to publish in the Reviews section of the Journal. Reviews may report on and assess events (such as conferences and concerts), publications (typically books), recordings (of music or multimedia art), or products (whether commercial products or publicly available research products such as open-source software). Reviewers are not paid but often may keep the reviewed item, where applicable.

Persons interested in writing reviews should send a curriculum vitae and writing samples to the Journal’s reviews editor, Ross Feller, at cmj-reviews@mit.edu, with a cc to Douglas Keislar at cmj-editor@mit.edu. Your expression of interest may mention what types of items you are generally interested in reviewing. Expressions of interest in reviewing specific items are also welcome, as are suggestions to have a specific item reviewed by someone else.

If submitting an unsolicited review, please visit http://computermusicjournal.org/reviews/guidelines.html for guidelines about how to write a review. Reviewers should be unaffiliated with the organization or person whose work is the subject of the review. All submissions or proposals are evaluated for suitability before a decision is made whether to publish the item, and the Journal reserves the right to edit reviews for clarity, conciseness, and conformity to the Journal’s style.
